BREVE RESUMEN HISTORICO :

En los principios del siglo, el Pinscher miniatura ya era criado en gran número y el libro de cría de 1925 registra 1300 inscripciones. Al igual que en el Pinscher alemán, se criaron a partir de muchas variedades de color los colores negro con manchas claras y de los unicolores rojos a marrones.

BRIEF HISTORICAL SUMMARY :

Miniature Pinschers were  kept in large numbers around the turn of the century already and the Stud Book for 1925 records no less than 1300 entries. Like with the German Pinscher, from the numerous colour variations, only the colours black with lighter markings and solid red to red-brown were thorough-bred.

ASPECTO GENERAL :

El Pinscher miniatura es la imagen achicada del Pinscher alemán, sin defectos de enanismo. Su elegante construcción cuadrada es claramente visible a través de su pelo corto, liso y apretado.

PROPORCIONES IMPORTANTES 

·         La construcción debe lo más posible aparecer cuadrada en relación al largo del cuerpo y a la altura a la cruz.

 ·         El largo total de la cabeza (de la punta de la trufa a la protuberancia occipital) debe guardar una relación de 1:2 con el largo del cuerpo (desde la cruz a la inserción de la cola).

GENERAL APPEARANCE :

The Miniature Pinscher is a reduced image of the German Pinscher without the draw-backs of a dwarfed appearance. His elegant square build is clearly visible  due to his short smooth coat.

IMPORTANT PROPORTIONS :

·         The ratio from length to height shall make his build appear as square as possible.

·         The length of the head (measured fom the tip of the nose to the occiput) corresponds to half the length of the topline (measured from the withers to the set on of the tail).

TEMPERAMENTO / COMPORTAMIENTO :

Con mucho temperamento, lleno de vida, seguro de sí mismo, equilibrado. Todo esto lo hace un excelente perro de familia y para compañía.

BEHAVIOUR/TEMPERAMENT :

Lively, spirited, self assured and evenly tempered. These qualities make him an agreeable family and companion dog.

CABEZA

 REGION CRANEAL

Cráneo :  Fuerte y alargado, con el occipucio poco marcado.  La frente es plana y paralela con la caña nasal.

Depresión naso-frontal (stop) : Suave, aunque claramente definida.

 REGION FACIAL

Trufa : Bien desarrollada y negra.

Hocico :Termina en una cuña troncada.  La caña nasal es recta.

Belfos : Negros, se apoyan firmes y planos sobre los maxilares; la comisura de los labios es cerrada.

Mandíbulas/Dientes : Maxilar superior e inferior poderosos. La mordida es en tijera, fuerte y completa (42 piezas dentarias limpias y blancas de acuerdo con la fórmula dentaria del perro).  Debe cerrar bien. La musculatura de la másticación esta fuertemente desarrollada sin formar mejillas que molesten.

Ojos : Oscuros, ovales, los bordes de los párpados adherentes y pigmentados de negro.

Orejas : Erectas ; dobladas, de inserción alta, en forma de “V” ; los bordes internos de las orejas descansan sobre las mejillas.  Las orejas están dirigidas hacia delante en dirección de la sien. El pliegue paralelo no debe sobrepasar la línea superior del cráneo.

HEAD

 CRANIAL REGION

Skull : Strong, elongated without markedly protruding occiput. The forehead is flat without wrinkles,  running  parallel to the bridge of nose.

Stop: Slight, yet clearly defined.

 FACIAL REGION                  

Nose: Noseleather  well developed and black.

Muzzle:  Ending in a blunt wedge. Bridge of nose straight.

Lips: Black, smooth and tight-fitting to the jaw. Corners of lips closed.

Jaws/Teeth : Strong upper and lower jaw.  The complete scissor bite (42 pure white teeth according to the dentition formula), is strong and firmly closing.  The chewing muscles are strongly developed without pronounced cheeks interfering with the smooth outline.

Eyes: Dark, oval, with black pigmented close fitting eyelids. 

Ears : Prick ears ; drop ears, set  high, V-shaped with the inner edges lying close to the cheeks, turned forward towards temples.  Folds parallel, should not be above the top of the skull.

CUELLO :

De porte aristocrático, no demásiado corto ; sin interrupción, debe fluir armoniosamente en la cruz ; seco, sin papada ni piel suelta en la garganta. La piel de la garganta es firme, sin arrugas.

NECK :

Nobly curved, not too short. Blending smoothly into the withers without any marked set on. Dry without dewlap or throatiness. Throat skin tight-fitting  without folds.

CUERPO

 Linea superior : Descendiendo levemente desde la cruz hacia atrás.

Cruz : Es el punto más alto de la línea superior.

Espalda : Fuerte, corta, firme.

Lomo : Fuerte. La distancia desde la última costilla hasta la cadera es corta de modo que el perro aparezca compacto.

Grupa : Levemente redondeada y pasando imperceptiblemente por la inserción de la cola.

Pecho : Moderadamente ancho, de corte oval, profundo hasta los codos. El antepecho está especialmente marcado por la punta del esternón.

Línea inferior : Flancos no excesivamente recogidos de manera de brindar junto a la parte inferior del tórax una linda línea ondulada.

BODY

Topline: Slightly sloping from withers towards rear.

Withers: Forming the highest point in topline.

Back: Strong, short and taut.

Loins: Strong. The distance from last rib to hip is short to make the dog appear compact.

Croup: Slightly rounded, imperceptibly blending into tail set on.

Chest: Moderately broad, oval in diameter, reaching to elbows. The forechest is distinctly marked  by the point of the sternum.

Underline and belly : Flanks not too tucked up, forming a nicely curved line with the  underside of the brisket.

COLA : Natural, siendo el objetivo conseguir que sea en forma de sable o de hoz.

TAIL: Natural; a sabre or sickle carriage is sought after.

EXTREMIDADES

 MIEMBROS ANTERIORES : Los miembros anteriores son, vistos de frente, vigorosos, rectos y colocados no demasiado juntos. Los antebrazos vistos de perfil son rectos.

Hombros : La escápula está firmemente apoyada sobre el tórax. Bien musculada a ambos lados de la espina del hueso, sobresale por encima de las vértebras de la columna en su tramo torácico. Lo más posible inclinada y bien echada hacia atrás, forma con la horizontal un ángulo de 50º.  

Brazo :  Bien junto al cuerpo, fuerte y musculoso ; forma con la escápula un ángulo de aproximadamente 95º a 105º.

Codos : Bien ajustados, no girados ni hacia fuera ni hacia dentro.

Antebrazo : Recto visto de frente y de perfil ; fuertemente desarrollado y musculado.

Carpo : Fuerte y estable.

Metacarpo : Fuerte y elástico, visto de frente recto, de perfil ligeramente oblicuo en relación al suelo.

Pies delanteros : Cortos y redondos ; dedos apretados unos a otros y arqueados (pies de gato) ; almohadillas fuertes ; uñas cortas, negras y fuertes.

 MIEMBROS POSTERIORES : Vistos de perfil oblicuos, desde atrás, se ven paralelos y no demasiado juntos.

Muslos : Moderadamente largos, anchos, y fuertemente musculados

Rodilla : No debe estar girada ni hacia dentro ni hacia fuera

Pierna : Larga y fuerte, tendinosa, continuándose en un poderoso tarso

Corvejón : Bien angulado, fuerte, firme, no girado ni hacia dentro ni hacia fuera

Metatarso : Perpendicular en relación al suelo

Pies traseros : Un poco más largos que los delanteros. Dedos bien apretados uno al otro y arqueados ; uñas cortas y negras.

LIMBS

 FOREQUARTERS : Seen from the front, the front legs are strong, straight and not close together.  Seen from the side, the forearms are straight.

Shoulders:  The shoulder blade lies close  against the ribcage and is well muscled on both sides of the shoulder bone, protruding over the points of the thoracic vertebrae. As sloping as possible and well laid back, forming an angle of appr. 50° to the horizontal.

Upper arm: Lying close to the body, strong and well muscled, forming an angle of 95° to 100° to the shoulder blade.

Elbows:  Correctly fitting, turning neither in nor out.

Forearm: Strongly developed and well muscled. Completely straight seen from the front and the side.

Carpal joint: Strong and firm.

Pastern: Strong and  springy. Seen from the front,vertical, seen from the side, slightly sloping towards the ground.

Forefeet:  Short and round, toes well-knit and arched (cat feet), pads resistant, nails short, black and strong.

 HINDQUARTERS : Standing obliquely, when seen from the side, standing parallel but not close together seen from the rear.

Upper thigh: Moderately long, broad, strongly muscled.

Stifle: Turning neither in nor out.

Lower thigh: Long and strong, sinewy, running into a strong hock.

Hock: Markedly angulated, strong, firm, turning neither in nor out.

Metatarsus : Vertical to the ground.

Hind feet: Somewhat longer than forefeet. Toes well-knit and arched. Nails short and black.

MOVIMIENTO :

El Pinscher miniatura es un trotador. Durante el movimiento el dorso se mantiene firme y relativamente quieto. El inicio del desplazamiento es armonioso, seguro, lleno de fuerza, libre y con buen alcance.  En los trotadores es típico tener una gran cobertura de terreno con un movimiento limpio y fluido, con un empuje poderoso y una amplia extensión delantera.

GAIT/MOVEMENT :

The Miniature Pinscher is a trotter. His back remains firm and rather steady in movement. The movement is harmonious, sure, powerful and uninhibited with good length of stride. Typical of the trot is a ground covering, relaxed, fluent movement with strong drive and free front extension.

PIEL : Firme en todo el cuerpo

SKIN : Tight fitting over the whole body.

PELAJE : Pelo corto y tupido, brillante y bien apretado al cuerpo, sin regiones calvas.

 COLOR

Unicolor : Rojo ciervo, rojo-marrón hasta el rojo oscuro-marrón.

Negro y fuego : Pelo negro laca con marcas fuego rojas a marrones.  Es deseable que las marcas sean lo más posible oscuras, saturadas y bien delimitadas.  Las marcas fuego se ubican : sobre los ojos, en la cara inferior del cuello, en los metacarpos, en los pies, en las caras internas de los miembros posteriores y en el perineo. En el antepecho, dos triángulos de igual tamaño claramente separados uno del otro.

COAT

 HAIR : Short and dense, smooth, close and shiny without bald patches.

 COLOUR 

·         Self coloured : Deer red, reddish-brown to dark red brown.

·         Black and Tan : Lacquer black with red or brown markings.

The aim is for markings as dark, as rich and as clearly defined as possible. The markings are distributed as follows: Above the eyes, at the underside of the throat, on the pasterns, on the feet, at the inside of the hind legs and under the root of the tail. Two even, clearly separated triangles on the chest.

FALTAS : Cualquier desviación de los criterios antes mencionados se considera como falta y la gravedad de ésta se considera al grado de la desviación al estándar.  En particular :

 ·         Aspecto pesada o liviano, petizo o patilargo.

·         Cráneo pesado o redondo.

·         Arrugas en la frente.

·         Hocico corto, puntiagudo o estrecho.

·         Mordida en pinza.

·         Ojos claros, demasiado grandes o demasiado pequeños.

·         Orejas de inserción baja o muy largas, orejas llevadas distintas una de otra.

·         Piel de la garganta suelta.

·         Dorso demasiado largo, recogido o blando.

·         Dorso encarpado.

·         Grupa caída.

·         Pies largos.

·         Paso de ambladura.

·         Andadura elevada.

·         Pelo fino.

 ·         Línea de anguila, silla oscura, manto claro, pelaje moteado.

·         1 cm. por encima del límite superior de altura o 1 cm. por debajo del límite inferior de altura.

FAULTS : Any departure from the foregoing points should be considered a fault and the seriousness with which the fault should be regarded should be in exact proportion to its degree. Particularly:

·         Clumsy or light in build. Too low or too high on leg.

·         Heavy or round skull.

·         Wrinkles on forehead.

·         Short, pointed or narrow muzzle.

·         Pincer bite.

·         Light, too small or too large eyes.

·         Ears set low or very long, unevenly carried.

·         Throatiness.

·         Too long, tucked up or soft back.

·         Roach back.

·         Croup falling away.

·         Long feet.

·         Pacing movement.

·         Hackney gait.

·         Thin coat.

·         Roans; black trace on the back, dark saddle and lightened or pale coat.

·         Over- or undersize up to 1 cm.

FALTAS GRAVES

·         Falta de tipicidad en la expresión del sexo (por ejemplo hembra másculina).

·         Aspecto liviano.

·         Falta de paralelismo cráneo/hocico.

·         Cráneo amanzanado.

·         Codos girados hacia fuera.

·         Corvejones girados hacia dentro.

·         Posteriores no bastante angulados o en barril.

·         Desviaciones de más de 1 cm. y menos de 2 cm. en las alturas máximas y mínimas respectivamente.

SERIOUS FAULTS :

·         Lack of sexual type (i.e. doggy bitch).

·         Light appearance

·         Apple head.

·         Lines of head not parallel.

·         Elbows turning out.

·         Hindlegs standing under the body.

·         Straight or open hocked hindlegs.

·         Hocks turning out.

·         Over- or undersize by more than 1 cm but less than 2 cm.

FALTAS ELIMINATORIAS

·         Timidez, agresividad, maldad, recelo exagerado, conducta nerviosa.

·         Deformidad de cualquier tipo.

·         Carencia de tipo.

·         Faltas de mordida, prognatismo superior o inferior, arcada de los incisivos desviado

·         Faltas burdas en cada región como defectos de construcción, de pelo y de color.

·         Desviaciones de más de 2 cm. de los límites superior e inferior de altura.

 Cualquier perro mostrando claras señales de anormalidades físicas o de comportamiento debe ser descalificado.

DISQUALIFYING FAULTS :

·         Shy, aggressive, vicious, markedly suspicious, or nervous 

      behaviour.

·         Malformation of any kind.

·         Lack of breed type.

·         Faults in mouth, such as over- or undershot or wry mouth.

·         Severe faults in individual parts, such as faults in structure, coat or  colour.

·         Over- or undersize by more than 2 cm.

  Any dog clearly showing physical or behavioural abnormalities shall be disqualified.

NB :        Los machos deben tener dos testículos de apariencia normal completamente descendidos en el escroto.

NB: Male animals should have two apparently normal testicles fully descended into the scrotum.
